Hello, my name is Eric Aubry, born on the westside of Los Angeles of Creole and Native American Black Indian descent, out of New Orleans. I was born the 7th child on the 7th day, and my heritage is of the 7th ward in New Orleans. I grew with several educations, #1 in a loving home with religious beliefs and very good education on life and what's right and wrong, #2 I was also educated from the streets of L A which was very different and just the opposite from my home training, and #3 the History and Culture of New Orleans LA.
I also grew up as a Lowrider in south central LA, where life was one big party all the time with cars, lots of girls, and sports, with over 200 of my friends and associates, ripping and running up the street of LA, doing some of everything good and bad. I've seen just about everything growing up in LA and New Orleans, a lot of Good and a lot of Bad. I've seen relationships good and bad, and Love affairs that didn't last. I was also a Hustler, a business man, the first Creole person to become a major Magazine Wholesaler in the United States, with over 900 accounts serving southern California, and the first to deliver Black Culture Magazines throughout south central and the greater LA area. Also I am a Professional Gambler in sports and poker.
I am a Father of 2 and a grandfather of 5. It was because of my grandchildren I wrote this book, to show them the History, Culture, Language and the Food of the Creole People of New Orleans, also to show them how I grew up and where they came from. Eric Aubry, this is my story!
