No. You do not need an agent to submit to Storehouse Voices. If you have an agent who is not submitting on your behalf, include their contact information in your application.
How long does the review process take?
Because we are a small team and receive hundreds of submissions, review can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.
How will I know if my project has been selected?
If we decide to move forward, someone from the editorial team will contact you through the submission portal and by email. Please keep your contact information current.
Will I be notified if my project is not selected?
Yes. You will receive a message through the submission portal.
Do you provide feedback?
Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individual feedback.
What types of work is Storehouse Voices seeking?
We are open to culturally rich and distinctive commercial fiction and nonfiction for adult audiences. Nonfiction may include memoir, practical guides, inspirational stories, narrative nonfiction, science and medical stories, historical analysis, biographies, spirituality, true crime, and graphic narratives. Fiction may include romance, horror, thrillers, mysteries, crime, contemporary and historical fiction, speculative fiction, upmarket and book club fiction, graphic novels, and mystical fiction.
Who can submit to Storehouse Voices?
Storehouse Voices accepts submissions from writers of all backgrounds. We are committed to expanding access and uplifting historically marginalized and disenfranchised communities.
Do I need to participate in Women & Words to be published by Storehouse Voices?
No. Participation in Women & Words is not required to submit or be considered for publication.
What should I include in my book proposal?

Can I update my application after submitting?
To submit a revised manuscript or proposal, delete the existing submission and create a new one with the updated materials.
Can I submit more than one project?
Yes. Each manuscript or proposal must be submitted separately with all required materials.
When are submissions accepted?
Storehouse Voices generally accepts submissions on a rolling basis. Submissions may close temporarily to allow the editorial team time to review existing projects.
