Welcome to Storehouse Voices. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, platform, and any associated services or applications (collectively, the “Services”). These Terms form a legal agreement between you (“you,” “user”) and Storehouse Voices (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept those changes.
1. Intellectual Property and Use of Content
All content on the Services, including text, graphics, logos, layouts, scripts, and the Storehouse Voices name and logo, is the property of Storehouse In Publishing, LLC, or its licensors and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display or exploit any content from our platform without our prior written consent, except for personal, noncommercial use.
2. Site Access License
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your personal and professional publishing purposes. You may not:
- Use bots, spiders, data miners, or other automated tools to access or extract data
- Copy, resell, or distribute any part of the Services for commercial use
- Frame or mirror any part of the Services
- Use our name, logos, or trademarks without written consent
Unauthorized use terminates this license immediately.
3. Trademarks
The Storehouse Voices name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Storehouse In Publishing, LLC. You may not use our marks in any way that implies endorsement or confusion without our prior written permission.
4. User Content & Submissions
You are solely responsible for the content of user submissions and the consequences of posting them. In connection with your use of the Services you represent you are over the legal age to contract. When you upload or submit manuscripts, profiles, reviews, or other content:
- You retain ownership of your work
- You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, host, and distribute your content within the Services and to agents, publishers, or readers as applicable
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our policies
User content must not:
- Violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Be defamatory, hateful, pornographic, or otherwise unlawful
- Impersonate any other person
- Include personal information
- Include commercial solicitations, spam, or false representations
User submissions do not represent the views of Storehouse Voices or Penguin Random House LLC. Through your use of the Services, you may be exposed to content and user submissions that you may find offensive, objectionable, harmful, inaccurate or deceptive. There may also be risks of dealing with underage persons, people acting under false pretense, international trade issues and foreign nationals. By using the Services, you assume all associated risks.
5. Community Engagement
You agree to engage respectfully in forums, reviews, and community programs. We may remove content or restrict or revoke access to users who:
- Harass or intimidate others
- Disrupt discussions or post off-topic content
- Violate our community guidelines
- Violate the law or these Terms of Use
6. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected breach.
7. Third-Party Services
Our Services may include links to third-party websites or services. We do not control or endorse these services and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
8. DMCA Copyright Infringement Notice
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, notify us at dmca@storehousevoices.com with:
- Your contact information and signature
- A description of the copyrighted work
- A description of the infringing material and its location
- A good faith statement that use is unauthorized
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the above is accurate
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Storehouse Voices and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, OR RESULTS OF USING THE SERVICES. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOREHOUSE VOICES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, labor disputes, governmental actions, or acts of war.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in New York County, NY for any disputes.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Storehouse Voices. They supersede all prior agreements related to your use of the Services.
