I’m Stacie Mitchell—educator, entrepreneur, speaker, and the second African American woman elected Mayor of Stamps, Arkansas—the childhood home of Dr. Maya Angelou. From rural roots to national stages, my journey has taught me that real leadership begins with service, and true power lies in our ability to build others up.
No matter where I go, my mission remains clear: to lead with integrity, to equip others through professional leadership development, and to shine a light on the untold stories that shape our communities and fuel our future. As a certified leadership coach and seasoned trainer, I deliver workshops, keynotes, and coaching sessions that help educators, nonprofits, and aspiring changemakers turn purpose into progress.
As a first-generation college graduate, grandmother, and lifelong advocate for equity, I bring both heart and strategy to the work. I co-founded Books From Bobby, Inc., a nonprofit that creates dynamic learning spaces where youth explore STREAM education, creative writing, and public speaking. My programs inspire young leaders to dream boldly and act with intention.
Whether I’m hosting my Leading with Purpose podcast, facilitating a professional development session for educators, or empowering girls to own their voices, I lead from a place of rooted resilience—born in church pews, sharpened in classrooms, and carried into boardrooms, front porches, and Capitol Hill.
I honor the legacy of women like “Aunt Maya,” who taught us that our voice is our power. And now, I’m using mine to help others rise, speak, and lead.
