Sandra Heim is a published author and transformative life coach who has spent more than a decade helping women stop performing for everyone else and find their own voice—the very journey her heroine, Kristi, stumbles through in The Magdalene Makeover. She knows Kristi's world from the inside: like Kristi, Sandra once worked as the editor-in-chief of a magazine and a journalist.
Her first book, Das Meerjungfrauenvirus (The Mermaid Virus) was published while she was still waiting tables; she later founded the coaching practice MAMA Revolution® and published a second book, the interview collection Stimmen eines neuen Bewusstseins (Voices of a New Consciousness". Across more than a thousand coaching sessions, a podcast, and many cooperations with coaches and artists, her subject has always been the same: how a woman learns to trust her own inner knowing.
What makes this novel singular is that Sandra lives in Rennes-le-Château, the real, mystery-soaked village at the foot of the Pyrenees where the book is set. The Mary Magdalene history, the Templar lore, and the spiritual-seeker scene she affectionately satirizes are not researched from afar—she lives among them and has woven genuine, on-the-ground research into the story.
