I am an operations and business transformation executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning transportation, education, manufacturing, supply chain, service delivery, and organizational transformation. Throughout my career, I have led large -scale operations, managed multimillion-dollar business functions, and guided teams through periods of significant growth, change, and complexity. My leadership experience includes overseeing service operations across major North American transit systems, leading large, unionized workforces, driving operational improvements, and helping organizations navigate transformation while maintaining a focus on people, performance and culture. After experiencing an unexpected career transition, the first time I started documenting the lessons. The second time, I documented the lessons, emotions, and insights that emerged during that journey. This became the foundation for my book. I am known for my practical leadership style, candid storytelling and my ability to translate complex organizational challenges into actionable lessons. Through my writing, speaking, and professional engagement, I encourage leaders to approach career disruption with resilience, self-awareness, and confidence. I hold an MBA from DePaul University's Driehaus College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alabama A&M University. I serve on the DePaul University Management and Entrepreneurship Advisory Council and I am actively involved in professional and community organizations focused on leadership, education, and service. I live in the Southwest suburb of Chicago, Oak Lawn with my husband, Dartanyan.
