I am a Moroccan Australian novelist whose work explores identity, belonging, matrescence, and the intergenerational legacies carried across cultures. My debut literary?historical novel, Half Truth, was published by Penguin Random House Australia in 2025 and has since been translated into Serbian, extending the book’s reach and affirming the cross?cultural resonance I aim to cultivate in my writing.

My creative practice is grounded in research, memory, and the ethics of writing across borders. I am a prize?winning and shortlisted writer, recognised by the Woollahra Digital Literary Award, the SBS Emerging Writers Competition, the Deborah Cass Prize, and the Queensland Writers Centre’s Publishable program. My essays and short fiction appear in national publications, and I continue to work across forms, including narrative audio.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania and undertook doctoral research at UTAS and the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on feminist philosophy and embodiment. This academic grounding shapes the depth and precision of my creative work. I currently work in research ethics and governance, as well as running a private counselling practice specialising in maternal mental health.

In 2026, I was invited to SIEL Rabat as a guest of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) and the Australian Embassy, and my work was profiled at Book Club Le Matin, where readers engaged closely with my themes of diaspora and matrilineal memory.

I live in Hobart, Tasmania Australia and am currently completing my second novel.
