I’m a writer, artist, and consultant. My works reflect the sensual and complex dimensions of urban life. Coif City, my interview-based hair journey zine, sold at Printed Matter, Bluestockings NYC, and Gosh! Comics in London. My adult coloring book, A Travel Companion, is an avant garde documentation tool for travelers. I’ve served as an editor for the Girls Write Now anthologies Unmuted and Taking Our Place in History. My fine art is on permanent display in Penn State University’s Africana Research Center and the Heart and Kidney Transplant Center at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Memory Opus, my interview-based soundscape on the impacts of Covid-19, exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York. I’m deeply invested in community-based storytelling initiatives. I’m a 2024 Windows of Understanding featured artist and a 2024-25 Luminary Fellow. I have consulted on and produced several award-winning animated films and documentaries including the Afterthought documentary and Backpack Full of Cash. My work has been featured in AI-AP's Design Arts Daily (DART). It is from the vantage point of a visual storyteller that I communicate the interior world of Dovelle Johnson and those in her orbit.
