Merlize Justine Jogiat is a South African author, GBV advocate, narcissistic abuse recovery coach, and media maker. A decade-long career in photography, videography, and media production gave way to Owning This Life, her multi-season talk show and podcast featuring prominent South African figures. Today she serves as Operations and Advocacy Manager at Women For Change, a Cape Town-based GBV NGO, where she has become a nationally recognised spokesperson, quoted in The Citizen, EWN, and the Atlantic Sun, interviewed on CapeTalk, and featured across broadcast and digital media in connection with the historic G20 Women's Shutdown of November 2025 that successfully secured South Africa's classification of GBVF as a national disaster.
