Matt Ford is a Detroit-raised, San Diego-based writer, educator, and anthropologist whose work weaves text, archives, music, and movement. Their multimedia work has been published in Lambda Literary, Wall Street Journal, HuffPost, The Creative Independent, Art Journal, and elsewhere. They received a BA in cultural anthropology from Vassar and Morehouse Colleges and an MFA in cross-genre writing from UC San Diego. Matt is currently querying their debut novel, The Book of Myles: Rapture in Blue, while teaching U.S. history and Black aesthetics at the University of San Diego and English at Grossmont College. They are also the founder and CEO of 5D Publishing, which will launch Karia, its cross-genre, inter-diasporic literary magazine, this fall.
