Kera Sanchez is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Get Griefy Magazine, a multimedia platform and community built around the philosophy "grief sucks, life doesn't have to." She is an award-winning grief educator and certified grief and resilience expert. Her work has been featured in local Chicago and D.C.-area news outlets and Psychology Today. Sanchez founded Get Griefy following the loss of her mother, but her grief story didn't start there — years of a complicated mother-daughter relationship, layered with the unresolved history of her mother's adoption, left her grieving long before that loss became final. That layered experience, and her journey out of being stuck in it, remains the emotional and editorial backbone of her platform. She originated the term "dopamine grieving," a concept now central to her brand and this book.
