I'm a 31-year-old Black electrical engineer who began as an electrician. I learned electricity hands-on, from the practical foundation up, before moving into design and experimental systems. I've been drawn to it my whole life, not just how it works but what it represents: something powerful humming just beneath the surface. I kept waiting for the story that captured that, and when I couldn't find it, I wrote it.
