I am a Bulgarian-Belgian author of the children's book I Stutter (Ciela, 2005), the novels Almost Intimately (Kronos, 2007), Annabel (Janet 45, 2010), Pelican Feather (Janet 45, 2013), She, the Island (Trud, 2017), Welcome, Nathan! (Fast Print Press, 2019) and Brussels, Naked (Znatsi, 2022), as well as numerous short stories.

My debut novel, Almost Intimately, received the audience nomination in the national literary competition South Spring (2008). Annabel was shortlisted in the Contemporary Bulgarian Novel Contest of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation and Open Letter Books (2014), while Brussels, Naked was awarded second place in the same competition in 2022. The manuscript of Brussels, Naked was also shortlisted for the Orpheus Prize. Brussels, Naked was selected for the Brussels Libraries' 2026 summer campaign, One City, 19 Books. My short story Like a Family, based on a chapter from Brussels, Naked, was shortlisted in the Writers Festival of Belgium competition on the theme "Translating Lives".

My work has been translated into English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Persian, and published in anthologies and literary magazines. I have also received a grant from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture for the writing of my first short story collection.

Alongside my writing, I facilitate creative writing workshops in English in collaboration with the Bulgarian Cultural Association in Belgium and, more recently, with Bib Sophia Library. I am also the founder and host of Salon de Culture, which for the past ten years has brought together artists—including many writers—and lovers of culture for conversations, readings and creative exchange.

I hold an MA in Czech Language and Literature from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and an MA in European Politics and Social Integration from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I am also a qualified coach (Erickson International), focusing on creative and connected living.

I live in Brussels, where I lead EU advocacy for the international NGO Hope and Homes for Children.
