Ingrid Kelly is a Louisiana-born author, social worker, and educator whose storytelling blends emotion, magic, healing, and identity into unforgettable narratives. Born and raised in New Orleans, Ingrid brings the richness of Southern culture, folklore, and community into her writing, creating stories that feel both hauntingly beautiful and deeply human.
With a background in education and social work, including experience supporting children and families through schools and community services, Ingrid is passionate about representation, emotional authenticity, and giving voice to characters who are often overlooked. Her work frequently explores themes of love, grief, resilience, trauma, self-discovery, and the complicated beauty of human connection.
She is the author of My Hair is My Crown, The Skin I’m In, and the Southern gothic romantasy series Blooming Love, beginning with Blossom. Her stories are known for their atmospheric settings, emotionally layered characters, and romantic tension woven through mystery and magic.
When she’s not writing, Ingrid can usually be found reading dark academia and romantasy novels, creating content for the book community, or dreaming up new worlds filled with witches, secrets, and blooming love. She currently resides in Georgia with her dogs, Milo and Rocko.
