Hana Scott, First Lady of Baltimore, is a proud multi-hyphenate who has never met a complex problem she didn't want to organize into submission. She's an entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, operations strategist, and community leader whose career has wandered happily through biotechnology, project management, and nonprofit leadership, picking up wisdom (and a few good stories) along the way. As Founder and Principal Consultant of Pugh Insights, she does what she does best: walking into beautifully chaotic environments and walking out with clarity, smoother operations, and growth that actually sticks, across tech, pharma, education, and finance.
Her heart, though, lives in social impact. Hana works to strengthen the operational and strategic muscle of nonprofits, early learning programs, and women-owned businesses because she believes the organizations closest to the work deserve systems just as strong as their mission. Her theory of change is refreshingly practical: when frontline organizations have solid systems, clear strategy, and processes that don't fall apart on a Tuesday, they can scale their impact and close opportunity gaps for real.
Never one to stay in a single lane, Hana also co-founded thicc sticc, a bold personal care brand on a mission to bring comfort and confidence to all thicc bodies. Putting her biotech background to delightfully unexpected use, she helped formulate the brand's signature products to handle inner thigh chafing and bust sweat, the everyday struggles nobody talks about but everybody knows. She's also a graduate of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program, which is to say her entrepreneurial grit comes with receipts.
A proud Baltimore resident by way of South Korea, Hana earned her Biology degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and is a member of the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She's deeply invested in her city's growth, working alongside her husband, Mayor Brandon Scott, to keep Baltimore's renaissance going strong. Together they're raising three future changemakers, Ceron, Charm, and Camden, who keep the household lively and the schedule full. When she's not working, you'll find her traveling, eating her way through new restaurants, chasing live music, hunting down vintage vinyl, and spreading joy through her signature sense of humor.
