Dr. Elizabeth Craigg-Walker is an intersectional scholar who integrates history, race, pop-culture, and education in all of her work. She has written a series of articles that have been featured in academic journals: ASCCC, Urban Affairs Review, US-China Education Review, Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Politics on the topics of teaching strategies and race. She has spoken at numerous conferences around the United States about topics of teaching strategies, the history of education, and political science.

She has contributed to the OER Global Studies text, and she created an Introduction to Political Science text. This would be her first long-awaited, nationally non-fiction book release, and she has written in a variety of blogs and in academic settings.

Craigg-Walker has a BA in English/Journalism from Pepperdine University before going to Seton Hall University to earn a Master of Public Administration. She spent time studying English Rhetoric at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills before attending Claremont Graduate University to earn a Master of Arts in Educational Studies. While there, she received a Master of Arts in Politics, Certificate in Preparing Future Faculty, and a Certificate in Women’s Studies. Finally, she earned a Ph.D. in Higher Educational Studies with a historical, qualitative research dissertation that integrated political science, cultural studies, and higher education: The Influence of Pepperdine University on the Black Church in Los Angeles and the Black Community in South Los Angeles, 1937 - 1981.

For 17 years, Craigg - Walker has been a college professor at 2-year and 4-year public and private colleges and universities. She has taught political science, global studies, women’s studies, race and ethnic politics, English Literature, political theory, English theory, communication theory, and a plethora of courses. She has been featured on local television channels about topics of higher education. She has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for over twenty years and a member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated.

She is a daughter, mother of a son, mother of a daughter, wife, friend, sorority sister, colleague, educator.
