I am a project manager, adjunct professor, researcher, author, and founder of Legacy Scholar Mentoring LLC. My work centers on leadership, higher education, resilience, intersectionality, and the lived experiences of first-generation and underrepresented scholars navigating academic and professional spaces.
Drawing inspiration from authors such as Toni Morrison, I value storytelling that preserves humanity, validates identity, and amplifies voices that have historically been marginalized. My writing and research explore themes of belonging, perseverance, purpose, and transformation, with a commitment to ensuring that scholarship remains both impactful and deeply human.
I am the author of a forthcoming book focused on first-generation doctoral students, written to support scholars as they navigate doctoral study, identity, imposter syndrome, research, resilience, and life beyond the dissertation. Through this work, I seek to offer both guidance and affirmation for those building academic pathways where few may have existed before.
Through my mentorship, teaching, writing, and scholarship, I strive to create work that serves as both an academic contribution and encouragement.
