I am an aspiring writer that is striving to publish my first book Bright Eyes and The Kinfolk, a historical fiction western that takes place in the state of Texas and follows the story of a young African woman searching for her younger brother with a band of mercenaries. My story explores identity and the power of multicultural allyship during tough times.

I have a background in journalism and Spanish, and have spent five years working in higher-education marketing. I am currently pursuing a M.Ed. in English Second Language and seek to teach adults how to harness the English language and share their stories and perspectives through writing.
